Role Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of all warehouse activities supporting a white-glove furniture delivery, installation, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) logistics business. This role ensures that all incoming and outgoing inventory is accurately received, inspected, tagged, stored, tracked, loaded, and dispatched while maintaining exceptional quality standards and minimizing damage.
The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse personnel, inventory control processes, safety compliance, warehouse organization, and operational performance to ensure seamless customer experience from receipt through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving & Inspection Management
- Oversee the receipt of all incoming furniture, fixtures, equipment, and accessories.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and/or designer inventory lists and pick up lists for RH and CB pick ups.
- Conduct prompt and thorough inspections for damage or defects and report damages within defined timelines
- Ensure all receipts are entered into the warehouse management system within established timeframes.
2. Inventory Control & Storage
- Ensure accurate and immediate tagging and labelling for all inventory.
- Maintain organized warehouse locations and storage systems.
- Ensure inventory is stored safely and scanned into system locations
- Maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
3. Outbound Delivery Preparation
- Verify delivery orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure all items scheduled for delivery are picked, staged, and quality checked.
- Confirm proper loading of delivery vehicles.
- Verify that all required accessories, hardware, and documentation accompany each shipment.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with customer service team.
4. Warehouse Operations Management
- Manage daily warehouse workflow.
- Enforce standard operating procedures.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Monitor productivity and identify process improvements.
- Ensure adequate equipment and material handling resources are available.
5. Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse associates.
- Set performance expectations and provide coaching.
- Foster accountability and continuous improvement.
6. Quality Assurance
- Implement damage prevention procedures.
- Conduct routine warehouse inspections.
- Ensure white glove handling standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain photographic documentation of received and outgoing products.
- Investigate root causes of damages and implement corrective actions.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Manage incident reporting and corrective actions.
Pay: $40,041.50 - $55,673.64 per year
