Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Rehabilitation Worker to support individuals with diverse developmental and behavioral needs. In this role, you will provide educational workshop opportunities, make fresh meals in our kitchen, and give our clients a safe place to be themselves. Your goal is to help empower clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social services, strong communication skills, and experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsibilities
- Play fun games and activities with our consumers, having 2 daily activities when we are open.
- Make meals in the kitchen to be able to serve the consumers by 11:30.
- Running to the store as necessary to make sure the fridge is stocked up for meals or that the staff has everything for upcoming activities.
- Taking care of our building, making sure it is left cleaned up before everyone leaves.
- Be able to communicate and spend time with the consumers. Making sure no issues escalate, everyone is speaking fairly/appropriately, and just having good conversation!
- OPTIONAL: Be willing to drive our company van to take our consumers out on their weekly outings.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and client-centered support strategies.
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly for personal transportation assistance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members.
- OPTIONAL: CPR training in case of emergency.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
