The Construction Field Support Technician is responsible for providing expertise in Field installation of metal building products, project specific installation of engineering design, and technical product application support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Perform Jobsite visits and inspect field system and project specific engineering design for metal roof, wall cladding, and light gauge steel framing systems.
● Responsible for inspections and reporting of field installation of various products.
● Provide technical support for corrective work needed in field.
● Write reports on field installation and warranty qualifications.
● Provide field dimensions using 3D laser scan and other methods.
● Assist customers in obtaining correct field measurements.
● Assist Estimating Department and sales force with project review, takeoffs and pricing for field installation of complicated projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a High School Diploma
minimum of 2 years of field installation supervision or field installation
experience with architectural cladding products, metal building products, metal roofing, commercial roofing, structural installation, or other commercial construction skillsets are preferred.
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Basic Working Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 2d Computer Design Softwares.
Must have the ability to learn new concepts and procedures quickly. Must maintain a valid Driver's license to have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel domestically and internationally by plane.
Frequent overnight travel is required.
