Troup Family Dental is looking to hire a temporary part-time Dental Hygienist!
Working dates: - Tuesday and Thursday: August 25th - November 24th

What you will be responsible for:
- Practicing your profession and living life with integrity; in an honest and moral manner
- Treating patients as you would want to be treated
- Providing high quality, gentle dental cleanings in a timely manner
- Taking full mouth series of x-rays as well as panoramic x-rays
- Placing dental sealants
- Being able to do a full comprehensive periodontal diagnosis and charting
- Preliminary diagnosis: Being able to spot caries, teeth that need crowns and other dental treatment that may be needed to be preparing the patient for when it is diagnosed by the dentist
- Communicating to patients well about: 1) What periodontal disease is, 2) How it is treated, 3) What the consequences of non-treatment are
- Having a friendly, relatable personality that puts patient at ease in a time that may be inherently stressful
You're good at:
- Customer relations: Getting along with a variety of different kinds of people, treating people as you would want to be treated yourself or as you would a family member
- Teamwork: you take initiative and are eager to learn and grow, you get along well and are respectful of your employer and fellow employees
- Communication: You can clearly and comfortably communicate with patients and fellow employees
- Organization: You are able to multitask, prioritize and adapt quickly and keep your space clean and organized
You also:
- Are a Registered Dental Hygienist in Texas
- Have Pit/fissure sealant certification
- Have nitrous oxide monitoring certification
- Have dental office experience
- Have digital practice software experience (Open Dental preferred)
- Are certified in Basic Life Support (CPR)

Compensation: Hourly rates beginning at $34 / hour - $42 / hour depending on qualifications
