Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a lively and positive attitude, making them feel immediately at home
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and any questions about the menu or services
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest experience
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information and handle guest inquiries effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments enhances guest relations capabilities
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and guest services standards is beneficial
- Ability to handle phone calls professionally while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
