Duties
- Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor health status by observing patient behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare teams in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with care plans and dietary restrictions while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, client progress, and incident reports while respecting confidentiality standards
- Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic living space for clients in compliance with health standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care techniques such as assisting with ADLs, patient monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance is essential
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient handling and mobility assistance
- Strong observational skills for patient safety, including dementia or memory care needs and autism spectrum disorder support
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or aging-related needs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and TB test
