Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to oversee our manufacturing operations during the 2nd shift. Duties
- Lead and supervise assembly team members on the 2nd shift, providing clear direction and support to meet daily production targets
- Coordinate daily workflow to optimize assembly line efficiency and minimize downtime
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety standards in production, including proper manual handling and use of power tools
- Conduct training sessions on mechanical assembly techniques, use of hand tools, forklift operation, and interpreting technical drawings
- Monitor quality control processes to ensure assemblies meet specifications and rectify issues promptly
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and implementing best practices
- Maintain accurate shift reports, safety logs, and production documentation
Requirements
- Proven factory experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety standards in production environments
- Prior experience leading or supervising an assembly line or manufacturing team
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with hand tools and power tools effectively
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely throughout shifts
- Familiarity with manufacturing management principles and factory safety protocols
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and promote teamwork
- Technical proficiency in reading technical diagrams, using hand tools, power tools, and understanding mechanical assemblies
