Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Teardown Technician to join our team. The Teardown Technician at Frazer reports to the Aluminum Assembly Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for the careful disassembly of customer emergency medical vehicles as part of the refurbishment and retrofitting process.
This position is expected to actively live out Frazer Core Values while working with Frazer employees, vendors, and customers to help achieve team, department, and corporate goals. Responsible for learning and reinforcing safe and proper work procedures while actively following Frazer Safety programs and other policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Teardown Technician Look Like?

Systematically dismantle interior and exterior components of emergency medical vehicles.

Remove cabinetry, some electrical components and wiring, HVAC components, lighting, medical equipment mounts, and related assemblies.

Label, catalog, and document removed components for refurbishment, reuse, or replacement.

Identify structural, electrical, or mechanical issues during teardown.

Follow established procedures to prevent damage to salvageable components.

Responsible for tear down and rebuilding of damaged components to include but not limited to welding, fabricating, cutting, removal and installation of sub assemblies such as air conditioner, generator and other components as needed.

Lay out, position, align, cut, shape, and install various aluminum components/parts to repair aluminum body modules.

Use a tape measure, square, power drill, and other various hand and power tools, as needed.

Detail and attend to the finished look required of the module. Uses solvents, cleaners, adhesives, adhesive removers and other products in closed and open environments as required.

Read and understand blueprints, instructions and service manuals as well as verbal instructions, and related literature to accomplish required jobs.

Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations

Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Secondary Duties:

Teardown Technicians may perform basic welding functions as needed.

Perform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.

Notify supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.

Clean and maintain the work area.
Required Education and Experience:

Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.

Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen.

Of course, we didn't forget salary… Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $20.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.
Work Schedule
The Teardown Technician will work Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
