The Middle School Volleyball Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a comprehensive volleyball program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and a positive educational experience. The coach will foster a safe and inclusive environment while supporting the district's mission of developing student-athletes who demonstrate character, commitment, and excellence both on and off the court.

Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices that develop fundamental volleyball skills and game knowledge.

Teach proper techniques, strategies, and rules of volleyball appropriate for middle school student-athletes.

Prepare athletes physically and mentally for practices and competitions.

Foster good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, respect, and positive character among student-athletes.

Establish and communicate clear expectations for behavior, attendance, effort, and academic responsibility.

Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, contests, and team travel.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following district policies and safety procedures.

Collaborate with the Activities Director, administration, and high school coaching staff to maintain consistency within the volleyball program.

Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school personnel, officials, and community members.

Promote and encourage academic success by monitoring student eligibility and supporting student achievement.

Manage and maintain volleyball equipment, uniforms, and facilities while reporting equipment needs to the Activities Director.

Attend coaches' meetings, rules clinics, and professional development opportunities as required.

Ensure compliance with all Kingsley-Pierson Community School District policies, Iowa High School Athletic Association (where applicable), Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union guidelines, and other governing organizations.

Represent Kingsley-Pierson Community School District with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director or administration.
