Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about manufacturing, machining, and delivering high-quality components using advanced tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts accurately.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical drawings to ensure precise machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
- Perform routine inspections with tools such as dial indicators, height gauges, and other mechanical measurement devices to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct troubleshooting on CNC equipment including Fanuc controls, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other machining systems to resolve issues swiftly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols involving hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, welding equipment, and forklift operation when necessary.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing processes for efficiency and waste reduction.
- Assist with assembly tasks as needed to support production flow.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages like G-code and CAM programming software.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, fixture design, and machine calibration.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery safely. Join us in producing high-quality components with precision craftsmanship! We value energetic professionals who are eager to contribute their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment dedicated to excellence in machining technology.
