Overview
Hurtt Fabricating has an exciting new career opportunity and is accepting applications and resumes for custodian position. We are seeking candidates who will keep production plant and attached offices clean.
The custodian:
· Sweep, mop, and vacuum office, and plant floors.
· Clean and restock restrooms, and employee breakroom.
· Empty trash cans.
· Wipe down high-touch surfaces, doorknobs, and shared equipment.
· Clean windows.
· Dust office furniture and clean surfaces
· Monitor facility areas for safety hazards like chemical spills or debris and clean them up right away.
· Follow safety data sheets (SDS) and wear proper protective gear when handling industrial cleaning agents.
· Work with distributors to ensure paper products and cleaners are adequately stocked.
· Identify and report to supervisors of possible areas in need of repairs or maintenance.
· Stock supplies
· Organize janitorial storage areas.
Job Requirements:
· Prior janitorial or sanitation experience in a warehouse, plant or factory setting.
· Ability to follow strict workplace safety and compliance rules.
· Can continuously stand, walk, bend up to 10 hours and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
· Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
