Overview
Over the Mountain Glass, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Production Optimizer to join our team. This position is responsible for optimizing glass production by creating efficient cutting layouts, reducing material waste, and supporting on-time production. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
· Create optimized glass cutting layouts using optimization software.
· Maximize glass yield while minimizing scrap and waste.
· Review customer orders and production requirements for accuracy.
· Prioritize cutting schedules based on customer due dates and production demands.
· Work closely with Customer Service, Production, and Shipping to ensure efficient workflow.
· Monitor material usage and communicate inventory needs.
· Maintain accurate production and optimization records.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Manufacturing, production planning, or glass fabrication experience preferred.
· Experience with optimization software is a plus.
· Strong computer and math skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
