About Us
Cuban Social House is a new hospitality concept opening in Greensboro, combining a Cuban café, catering operation, community gathering space, and mobile kitchen. By day, we serve Cuban coffee, pastries, and casual fare. By night, we transform into a social destination featuring live music, domino nights, karaoke, and community events.
We're looking for our first long-term operations leader: someone who wants more than a job and is excited by the opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
Our goal is for this position to grow into the General Manager role of our first location within approximately 12 months. The volume for now is pretty low but it's a good balance to get us a running start toward where we are going in the next 12 months and where the position will grow.
Position Overview
The Founding Café Lead will work directly alongside ownership to help establish daily operations, build systems, develop staff, and create an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes ownership, and thrives in a growing business environment. This person will over see 1-2 employees in the cafe.
This position will coordinate closely with our catering and food truck operations while leading the day-to-day operation of the café.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily café operations (5 days a week, wednesday-sunday) including opening and closing procedures
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and guest experiences
- Hire, train, coach, and support team members
- Assist with scheduling and labor management
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and operational standards
- Coordinate with catering and mobile kitchen operations
- Support special events, entertainment nights, and community programming
- Help develop and improve operational systems and procedures
- Assist ownership with building a scalable hospitality operation
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, café, hotel, or food service leadership
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable leading a team while remaining hands-on
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, or operations management is preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation & Growth
- $20.00–$23.00 per hour based on experience
