We are seeking a passionate, reflective, and dedicated Music & Movement Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year and help our youngest learners grow academically, physically, socially, and emotionally in a bilingual, inquiry-based environment.
Role Summary
The Early Childhood Music & Movement Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year plays a key role in supporting young children’s development through music, movement, and creative expression. This role leads engaging, developmentally appropriate sessions that build rhythm, coordination, body awareness, and confidence, while fostering a joy for movement and music.
The Music & Movement program supports children’s overall development and connects, when appropriate, to classroom learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The Music & Movement Teacher supports our program by:

Leading engaging, developmentally appropriate Music & Movement sessions for PK2, PK3, and PK4 students

Designing experiences that support rhythm, coordination, spatial awareness, and gross motor development

Creating a joyful, inclusive environment that encourages participation, expression, and confidence

Modeling movement, musicality, and expressive language throughout sessions
-
Collaborating with Music, PSPE, and classroom teachers to ensure alignment with broader learning goals

Observing and documenting children’s participation and development to inform planning
-
Maintaining an organized, safe, and engaging learning space

Participating in meetings and contributing to the broader school community

Upholding school routines, expectations, and values
Required:
-
Fluency in spoken and written English
-
Experience working with young children (ages 2–5 preferred)

Strong understanding of early childhood development, particularly in movement, coordination, and creative expression

Ability to design and lead engaging, age-appropriate group experiences

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music, Movement, Physical Education, or a related field

Authorization to work in the United States
