Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment suitable for young children
- Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
- Engage children through play, storytelling, music, and other educational activities that foster curiosity and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and daily experiences
- Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare, daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities for early learners
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple children compassionately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and families
- Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
