Overview
Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Technician specializing in apartment maintenance and property services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment across residential communities. Duties
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Read schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately install or repair complex mechanical systems.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance on water supply lines, drainage systems, and ammonia refrigeration units when applicable.
- Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or fabrication tasks to maintain system integrity.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and future reference.
- Support property maintenance by addressing mechanical system failures promptly to minimize resident disruption.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and building maintenance.
- Service technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) environments with a focus on apartment or property settings.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration technology.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as Ammonia refrigeration or Boiler license are a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment; experience with building automation systems is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; familiarity with HVAC/R field service procedures is essential.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles is advantageous.
