Assistant Early Childhood Educator
Creative Play Preschool | Charlotte, NC
Age Group: Two-Year-Old Classroom
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $13–$15

Learn & Play Preschool is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Two-Year-Old classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, understands the importance of routine, and thrives in a collaborative school environment where teamwork and patience are essential.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds
- Assist in maintaining a nurturing, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Help children transition smoothly through daily routines, including meals, rest time, and play
- Encourage language development, positive peer interactions, and early independence
- Work closely with the lead teacher to support lesson plans and classroom goals
- Communicate daily updates with families as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in childcare or early learning settings preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework or credentials are a plus
- Ability to meet NC DCDEE requirements, including background clearance, TB screening, and health documentation
- Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children
