Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our electrical construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Your expertise in electrical systems, construction estimating, and contract negotiations will be vital in delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and technical drawings using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Analyze project scope, identify potential risks, and incorporate NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to negotiate pricing, scope adjustments, and contract terms that align with project goals.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals including labor, materials, equipment costs, and contingency allowances while maintaining accuracy and competitiveness.
- Monitor project budgets during execution to support cost control efforts and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the review of construction contracts to ensure clarity of scope, terms, and obligations for all parties involved.
- Support project management teams by providing reliable estimates that facilitate planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong focus on electrical systems within commercial projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating; proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of NEC standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation and contract management to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional integrity.
- Strong background in electrical design principles combined with hands-on construction site experience.
- Excellent skills in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management practices to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Effective communicator capable of working collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
