This focus on safety ensures that Club Members, particularly those in our target demographic of adults in their 40s and older, can train with confidence and minimize risk. Responsibilities
- Conduct one-to-one or one-to-two personal training sessions (paid at higher rate than open gym or group classes), assessing clients' fitness levels and developing customized workout plans that align with their goals.
- Lead strength-based group fitness classes.
- Supervise Open Gym, ensuring member safety and equipment cleanliness and integrity.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring safety and effective execution while motivating participants to push their limits.
- Guide members to gain strength and improve health using principles of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and program design to maximize results.
- Promote member engagement by providing exceptional teaching experiences and fostering a supportive community atmosphere.
- Support gym operations by assisting with fitness sales efforts, member consultations, and promoting upcoming classes or programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workout environment while adhering to safety standards and health protocols.
Requirements
- Certification in personal training or relevant disciplines such as NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise science.
- Expertise in group fitness.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants of all ages and fitness levels.
- Ability to design fitness programs for personal training clients that meet individual needs.
- Effective communication skills for engaging members and promoting fitness services confidently.
- Passion for health and wellness with a proactive approach to continuous learning in areas like sports coaching and new fitness trends.
- Valid certification in CPR/AED.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
