IT ENGINEERMicrosoft 365, Systems Administration & Business TechnologyBUILD. SECURE. SOLVE. IMPROVE.
Access Communications Group (ACG) is looking for a hands-on IT Engineer who knows Microsoft 365 inside and out and has the drive to make things happen.
This is not a role for someone who waits for a checklist or needs constant direction. We need a true go-getter who identifies problems, investigates root causes, recommends practical solutions, and follows every assignment through to completion.
You will help own, secure, troubleshoot, and continuously improve ACG’s technology environment while supporting Operations, Finance, HR, Estimating, and Executive Leadership.
If you are technically strong, highly organized, naturally curious, and motivated by solving real business problems, this could be the right opportunity for you.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Own and Support Microsoft 365
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Apps, and the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Manage users, groups, licenses, shared mailboxes, permissions, role assignments, onboarding, offboarding, and access changes.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication, conditional access, sign-in troubleshooting, and secure access practices.
- Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment, compliance, application deployment, configuration, and endpoint support.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, storage, license utilization, administrative reports, and security alerts.
- Identify issues early and take prompt corrective action or escalate when necessary.
Troubleshoot and Resolve
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for computers, operating systems, peripherals, printers, business applications, connectivity, and mobile devices.
- Investigate complex technical issues using a structured and disciplined troubleshooting process.
- Identify root causes instead of relying only on temporary fixes.
- Document problems, solutions, system changes, and lessons learned.
- Create repeatable solutions that reduce recurring issues and improve the user experience.
- Communicate clearly with users throughout the troubleshooting and resolution process.
Improve Systems and Processes
- Maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions, content organization, retention practices, and QMS-aligned document control processes.
- Design and improve practical workflows using Microsoft Forms, Lists, Power Automate, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Copilot.
- Identify repetitive or inefficient processes that can be automated, standardized, or simplified.
- Partner with departments to understand business needs and translate them into secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.
- Support continuous improvement across internal systems, technology processes, and user workflows.
Support Business Technology
- Support Odoo ERP users, permissions, reporting, access, and system issues.
- Coordinate advanced Odoo configurations, integrations, and escalations with developers or external vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software, licenses, warranties, vendors, and asset lifecycles.
- Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge-base articles, system diagrams, account records, change logs, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Support cybersecurity practices involving MFA, endpoint protection, least-privilege access, data protection, backups, incident response, and audit readiness.
- Take ownership of open items, communicate progress, meet deadlines, and drive assignments to verified completion.
MICROSOFT 365 EXPERTISE IS A HIGH PRIORITY
Microsoft 365 is a core requirement for this position.
We are not looking for someone who has only used Outlook, Teams, or Excel as an end user. We need someone who understands how to administer, secure, organize, troubleshoot, and improve Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 tenants.
- Experience managing users, groups, licenses, permissions, roles, mailboxes, and service settings.
- Practical knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security features.
- The ability to troubleshoot identity, synchronization, permissions, mail flow, collaboration, storage, and access issues.
- Working knowledge of MFA, conditional access, role-based access, least privilege, data protection, and audit logs.
- The ability to establish clear governance, naming standards, documentation, access reviews, and account lifecycle practices.
- Experience with Power Automate, Microsoft Lists, Forms, Intune, Defender, Purview, Power BI, or Copilot is strongly preferred.
ARE YOU THE GO-GETTER WE NEED?
The right person for this role:

- Learns unfamiliar systems quickly by using documentation, testing, research, and sound judgment.
- Communicates early when blocked instead of allowing work to remain unresolved.
- Presents options and recommends a clear next step.
- Works independently while knowing when to escalate security, operational, or business-critical concerns.
- Keeps commitments and consistently follows through.
- Documents work clearly and accurately.
- Remains organized while managing multiple priorities.
- Focuses on solutions, progress, and measurable results.
- Drives work to completion without repeated follow-up from management.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a professional business environment.
- Experience supporting both onsite and remote users across multiple departments.
- Experience with identity management, access control, endpoint administration, collaboration platforms, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience with SharePoint, process automation, Odoo ERP, PowerShell, APIs, networking, or cloud services is preferred.
