PATTERN MAKER (Industry City, Brooklyn, NY)
Starting Pay: $17.00 – $25.00/hr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Draft, grade, and alter patterns by hand for womenswear and other apparel categories
- Collaborate with sample makers to ensure accurate first fits
- Make corrections and adjustments based on fitting sessions
- Maintain organized and clearly labeled pattern archives
- Work closely with the design team to bring client concepts to life with precision
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of sewing experience
- Experience with overlock and coverstitch techniques (skill proficiency is the priority, not just machine familiarity)
- Ability to work across various styles and silhouettes
- High attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Experience in a sample room or production environment preferred
- Ability to work fully on-site in Industry City, Brooklyn
