The Four-Year-Old Lead Teacher position is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of program participants as well as supporting growth and development of all children in the program. The Lead teacher will be responsible for the creation and implementation of weekly classroom curriculum activities as well as the daily operations of a classroom including supplies, cleaning, and making sure safety and licensing regulations are being maintained.
The Lead Teacher is also responsible for providing daily communication to parents, both verbally as well as through the Brightwheel communication app., communication with teaching assistants and floats regarding lesson plans, children and parent information as well as center information. Regular attendance is expected of this position
Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Experience working with preschool age children preferred. Must meet the KDHE requirements for Lead Teacher as well as be able to pass KBI background checks, TB test and the core classes for childcare. CPR is required as well. Most important is a love for children and the excitement of watching them learn new things.
