Industrial Electrician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in construction environments. The role focuses on ensuring reliable production power, safe operation of machines and control systems, and compliance with electrical codes and company safety policies. The ideal candidate will combine strong handson electrical skills with experience in industrial and construction settings.
Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical distribution systems, motors, control panels, transformers, and associated equipment in manufacturing and construction environments.

Troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters) and apply effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Install, program, and support control systems including PLCs, VFDs, relays, and motor starters; assist with commissioning of new equipment.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to plan and execute work safely and accurately.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks and routine inspections to identify potential issues and extend equipment life.

Apply lockout/tagout procedures, ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes, and follow company safety standards during all work activities.

Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, contractors, and production personnel to schedule outages, shutdowns, and installation work with minimal impact on operations.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, test records, and parts inventories; prepare work reports and communicate status to supervisors.

Support continuous improvement efforts, suggest reliability upgrades, and participate in safety and training programs.
Qualifications

3+ years of handson experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction electrical work.

Valid electrician license or certification (Journeyman or Master preferred).

Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards, and local regulations.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Proficient with electrical testing and diagnostic tools (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, oscilloscope preferred).

Strong problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, shift work, or emergency callouts as needed.

Salary
$35 - $45 USD per hour
