Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food production according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including flattop grills, ovens, fryers.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by adhering to proper sanitizing procedures and handling food safely at all times
- Support menu planning efforts by ensuring timely preparation of dishes for service periods
- Assist with dishwashing duties, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized regularly
- Contribute to high-volume food production in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality control
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure consistency across all dishes prepared
Skills
- Previous experience in food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety management protocols and sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of menu planning and food production processes in brunch
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to thrive in high-volume production settings
