Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote positive behaviors and skill development.
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to enhance independence.
- Support clients in communication development through teaching functional communication skills.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and managing medical records securely.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Provide compassionate patient care by creating a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment during therapy sessions.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and medical records management is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients and their families.
