Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Dependable, reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a waste treatment environment.

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work
-
Chemical safety practices
-
General math skills
-
Practices and procedures used in the operation and maintenance of wastewater pretreatment systems

Sampling methods and the physical and chemical tests used in treatment plant control
-
Process quality control requirements and remedial measures in dealing with process malfunctions and emergencies

Ability to attend work consistently.

Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments.

Maintain a clean work area.

Be adaptable and dependable and the ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others.

Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction and successfully as part of a team.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and work 12 hour shifts occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
