We are a growing underground utility and fire protection contractor looking for an experienced estimator or preconstruction professional to help us strengthen and scale our bidding and estimating function.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in estimating, enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, and wants to make a direct impact on winning work and improving profitability.
Right now, estimating and preconstruction are handled closely by ownership. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of this function, improve consistency, and help us grow in a controlled and profitable way.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day estimating and bid preparation
- Perform takeoffs and prepare competitive bids
- Organize and manage the bid pipeline and deadlines
- Help improve estimating accuracy, structure, and consistency
- Support relationships with general contractors (follow-ups, bid clarifications, etc.)
- Work directly with ownership on strategy for winning work
- Identify trends in pricing, scope gaps, and opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
- (underground utilities, civil, fire protection, or related trades preferred)
- Strong understanding of takeoffs, pricing, and bid assembly
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with deadlines
- Strong communication skills with GCs and internal teams
- Willingness to grow into a larger role over time

Pay: $78,926.68 - $95,051.48 per year
