Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pasta Maker & Prep Cook specializing in wholesale production to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality pasta and preparing ingredients for large-scale production, ensuring consistency, safety, and efficiency. Duties
- Prepare fresh pasta using traditional and innovative techniques, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as pasta machines, mixers, food processors, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in menu planning by developing new pasta recipes and ensuring ingredient availability for production needs
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper HAACP plan food handling, sanitation, and cleaning of workstations and equipment
- Collaborate with the production team to coordinate order completion, ensuring timely delivery of products for wholesale orders
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, ingredient inventories, and quality checks
- Support the cleaning and organization of the production area to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, with a focus on pasta or similar culinary products
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in a production environment
- Demonstrated skills in knife handling, slicing techniques, and precise food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a high-volume setting
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as pasta makers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow
- Background in catering or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for culinary innovation is a plus
