Job Summary

Duties
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection using aseptic techniques.
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in patient diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results while ensuring compliance with veterinary standards.
- Conduct animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions.
- Handle dog handling, and animal restraint to facilitate smooth examinations and procedures.
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, ensuring safety protocols are followed for both animals and staff.
- Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting pet dental care routines.
- Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing attentive animal care during recovery.
- Manage laboratory samples efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, veterinary terminology, and animal handling techniques. Dental experience is preferred
- Experience with veterinary critical care procedures and emergency response is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing processes and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle dogs confidently through training or handling experience.
