Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social skills.
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive support.
- Help prepare classroom materials and educational resources aligned with the curriculum and lesson plan.
- Collaborate closely with lead teacher to monitor student progress and communicate observations effectively to parents.
- Adhere to all licensing guidelines, and grant program requirements including all required training.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in childcare, daycare, preschool, or educational support roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs such as autism is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning for literacy education, math activities, behavior management strategies, and preschool teaching methods.
- Technical proficiency with classroom tools and educational technology is a plus.
- Demonstrated classroom management assistance skills and experience supporting teacher collaboration efforts.
