Maritime Market is Bald Head Island’s premier Market with a full-service café serving breakfast & lunch daily, along with artisan wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza with scratch-made dough. The successful candidate will understand dough-making techniques including sour dough, gluten-free and other doughs. The successful candidate will be working in a wood-fired oven environment including tending and managing the fire itself. The successful candidate must be dependable, adaptable and a hard-working team player, with the professional demeanor necessary to work with a highly diversified customer and staff member base. You’ll be focused on producing healthy and delicious made-from-scratch pizzas, as well as providing world class customer service to our patrons. A current “Serve-Safe” certificate is a plus. You’ll report directly to the Head Chef, and you’ll be maintaining our day-to-day operations, keeping a clean kitchen, and ensuring product quality.
You will get to ride a boat to work and experience island life! Daily ferry transportation to the island, along with parking fees are paid by the Market.
