We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team!
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions for patients with disabilities, including geriatrics and TBI.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies and home exercises to promote independence.
- Maintain knowledge of current best practices in occupational health and rehabilitation techniques.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
- Experience working in an outpatient clinic is preferred
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to effectively manage caseload requirements
