About the Role
Perry's Emporium is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled craftsperson who can work independently on a wide variety of jewelry repairs and stone-setting projects while maintaining exceptional quality standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering outstanding workmanship on every piece that comes across the bench.
Works Efficiently in Below Areas:
- Complete head replacements and stone setting
- Flush set diamonds and colored gemstones
- Perform simple pavé repairs
- Set diamonds and gemstones in prong and bezel settings
- Set martini-style earrings for round stones
- Set basket settings for a variety of stone shapes
- Replace stones in channel settings
- Safely remove and reset diamonds and colored gemstones
- Perform full prong replacements
- Complete channel rebuilds
- Execute advanced ring resizing in gold, silver, and platinum
- Perform half and full shank replacements
- Repair and replace earring components, including posts, omega backs, and lever backs
- Rebuild and restore worn jewelry components
- Perform basic fabrication work
- Complete advanced chain repairs
- Utilize torch work safely and effectively
- Deliver exceptional finishing and polishing
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure minimal returns
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of bench jewelry experience
- Ability to work independently on most repair and setting jobs
- Strong stone-setting skills across multiple setting styles
- Experience working with gold, silver, and platinum
- Excellent soldering, polishing, and finishing abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to maintain productivity while meeting high workmanship standards

Success in This Role
- Consistently completes approximately 12–20 jobs per day
- Produces high-quality work with minimal rework or customer returns
- Maintains organization, efficiency, and accuracy in a fast-paced shop environment
Pay: $22.16 - $26.69 per hour
