Blueberry Lodge Assisted Living Group Home
North Douglas, Juneau, Alaska
Blueberry Lodge is seeking a compassionate, dependable, full time professional to fill a unique combined position within our established adult assisted living home.
This position combines two separate roles into one.
The first role is a paid Second Shift Direct Support Professional, working from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at $24 per hour.
The second role is serving as our Live In Overnight Service Provider, residing on site from 10:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. in exchange for free private room and board. The overnight portion is not an hourly paid shift. Instead, your overnight presence is exchanged for housing, utilities, and additional employment benefits.
For more than twenty years, Blueberry Lodge has provided a safe, family style home for three to four adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our residents are generally independent and do not require nursing level care or hands on personal care.
This is not a CNA, nursing assistant, or personal care attendant position.
Our residents do not require assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, transfers, lifting, or other hands on personal care. Instead, we provide supervision, encouragement, coaching, prompting when appropriate, transportation, meal preparation, community involvement, and assistance developing independent living skills.
If you enjoy cooking, building meaningful relationships, staying active in the community, and helping others become as independent as possible, this may be the perfect position for you.
