Experienced Skid Steer Operator
Bedwell Tree Service is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. We are looking for someone who can safely and efficiently operate equipment in residential, commercial, and municipal settings while working alongside crane, bucket, grapple, and tree crews.
This position plays a critical role in keeping jobs moving efficiently and maintaining the professional appearance our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Operate skid steers and various attachments in support of tree removal, pruning, and land clearing operations.
- Load and transport logs, brush, wood chips, and debris.
- Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and material handling.
- Work around homes, landscaping, utilities, fences, and other obstacles while minimizing property impact.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Assist crews with ground operations as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of skid steer operating experience.
- Experience operating equipment in tight residential settings preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Class A CDL is required. Applicants who do not currently possess a Class A CDL must be willing to obtain one. Bedwell Tree Service will assist qualified candidates in obtaining their Class A CDL.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and positive attitude.
- Tree industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
