Our growing Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team immediately. Position Overview
The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all stages of personal injury litigation, from filing suit through trial preparation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from filing through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence.
- Prepare and file documents in Texas state and federal courts using e-filing systems.
- Coordinate discovery, including collecting, organizing, and reviewing medical records, billing records, and other evidence.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial dates.
- Maintain litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, medical providers, experts, and court personnel.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and trial notebooks.
- Review medical records and prepare medical summaries, chronologies, and damages documentation.
- Perform other litigation-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of personal injury litigation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and litigation processes.
- Experience with Texas e-filing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal case management software.
- Professional demeanor and strong client service skills.
