Hello this position will be OTR
You will need to be on the road for at least 2-3 weeks at a a time, need a class "A" license with a clean driving Class A is not required but preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across local and regional routes with precision and safety.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with safety protocols.
- Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or other specialized vehicles based on assignment requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and freight delivery details in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip.
- Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery statuses or any unforeseen delays.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the operation of specialized equipment like forklifts is preferred.
- Prior experience in load & unload procedures, especially with freight requiring careful handling or specific equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and cargo securement practices.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types driven.
