Franklin Public Schools is seeking a motivated and customer service oriented individual to join our Buildings & Grounds Team!
This position requires someone who can work the following schedule: Wednesday - Friday (2nd shift), Saturday & Sunday (1st shift), and off Monday & Tuesday.
The schedule can slightly fluctuate depending upon activities in the building with the opportunity for over time. Summer hours offer more flexibility.

Essential Job Functions
- Perform, coordinate and assist in setting up for various building uses.
- Respond to community requests in an efficient and positive manner.
- Provide leadership for assigned personnel.
- Perform all assigned cleaning tasks.
- Assign duties to and work cooperatively with assigned staff.
- Replenish supplies (paper, soap, etc.) and remove trash as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment according to manufacturers recommendations.
- Secure building/area as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to exercise good judgment in carrying out assignments.
- Initiative and self-motivation to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in order to effectively work with staff, students, parents, community and outside suppliers.
- Good manual and mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of minor plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work independently in a variety of environmental situations including indoors, outdoors (summer and winter), work from a ladder or mechanical lift from various heights and in confined spaces.
- Knowledgeable in accepted cleaning/maintenance practices.
- Such alternatives to the qualifications as the district finds appropriate and acceptable.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
