Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring compliance with special education law and standards.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate educational technology, literacy education, math, and other core subjects suitable for students with disabilities.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to support students with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other developmental disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to create a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support communication skills and speech therapy goals.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication with families to ensure transparency and accountability.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and classroom management strategies for students with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and specialists.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating educational technology into lessons.
- Ability to implement behavioral health techniques and behavioral therapy approaches in classroom settings.
- Experience working with early childhood education principles, preschool settings, or Montessori methods is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for neurodiverse learners while fostering an inclusive environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
