Wize Computing Academy is a growing STEAM education provider offering hands-on, project-based programs in coding, robotics, engineering, and technology. Our programs combine interactive technology projects with engaging offline activities designed to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, logic, and problem-solving skills in students ages 5–14.
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Lead STEM Instructor to deliver hands-on, project-based classes in coding, robotics, and other STEM topics to students ages 5–14.
This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor opportunity. This position involves teaching at approximately 3–5 local school sites in the Plymouth/Canton area. Most programs run from approximately 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on weekdays. Candidates must be available to work at least three days per week and commit to their assigned classes for the full program session.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach engaging coding, robotics, and STEM lessons using our provided curriculum
- Lead and manage small classroom settings
- Prepare materials and equipment before each class
- Track student attendance, participation, and progress
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and the Wize team
- Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment
- Attend paid training sessions and team meetings
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable working with children
- Currently studying or graduated in education, STEM, child development, or a related field
- Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or camp experience preferred
- Willing to learn coding and robotics; training and curriculum are provided
- Available at least three weekdays per week, typically from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to travel between assigned school locations in the Canton area
- Able to pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position
