The part-time, Special Events Assistant supports Center for Community Arts by helping facilitate evening and weekend special events, art workshops, and private celebrations. This role ensures that events run smoothly from start to finish by providing friendly customer service, preparing event spaces, assisting instructors and patrons, and overseeing facility access.
This position also includes serving as a Party Captain for children's birthday parties as needed, providing high-quality support to families to ensure each celebration is safe, organized, and fun.
Events and parties will primarily take place at:
- Center for Community Arts – Shadelands Art Center (111 North Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94598)
- Center for Community Arts – Civic Park – Park Place(1375 Civic Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94596)
Hours and Compensation
This is a part-time, non-benefitted hourly position. Compensation for this position is an hourly rate between $17 and $20 and will be determined based on the candidate's level of skills, knowledge, and experience.
Hours vary depending on the season and scheduled events. Evening and weekend availability is required.
