Manufacturing Process Industrial Engineer (Training & Documentation)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Training & Documentation Industrial Engineer to support the transition and expansion of manufacturing operations. This hands-on role will focus on observing production and warehouse processes, improving workflows, and developing clear, practical training and process documentation.
The ideal candidate must have a strong industrial engineering and manufacturing process improvement background. This is not a documentation-only role; candidates should be able to understand manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and create effective workflows, standard work, and training materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and analyze manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, material handling, and inventory processes.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, Standard Work Instructions, OJT materials, job aids, process flows, and visual documentation.
- Partner with operators, supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to capture and standardize processes.
- Support process improvements, workflow optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create clear, visual, and operator-friendly documentation using photos, diagrams, and process maps.
- Identify process inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve standard work.
- Develop training guides, qualification materials, training matrices, and cross-training programs.
- Establish document revision controls and sustainable processes for maintaining training materials.
- Conduct floor audits to ensure documented procedures align with actual operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process engineering, warehouse operations, or continuous improvement.
- Strong experience developing manufacturing SOPs, work instructions, OJT documentation, and training materials.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing process improvement and engineering changes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Standard Work, 5S, process flow, visual management, and waste elimination.
- Strong technical writing and process-mapping skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or similar tools.
- Ability to work directly with manufacturing operators and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation and manufacturing line improvements.
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, A3, or 8D.
- Experience in ISO-certified or quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
- Experience developing employee training, qualification, or certification programs.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Process Engineer with strong floor experience who can combine process improvement, engineering knowledge, and technical documentation skills to create practical, sustainable solutions for manufacturing operations.

Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
