Position Summary
The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This position assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR functions while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Prepare and process new hire paperwork and support employee onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Track employee training, certifications, and required documentation.
- Support payroll by maintaining employee data and submitting required HR information.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and other documentation as needed.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, scanning documents, and answering HR-related phone calls and emails.
- Complete other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of HR Experience
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
