Job Summary
Grand Stone, LLC is looking for an experienced Countertop Laser Templater / Field Measure Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have experience measuring countertops for fabrication and installation, and must know how to operate Laser Product's LT-2D3D laser templating system. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work with builders, contractors, designers, and homeowners on active job sites.
Duties
- Measure and template countertops accurately for kitchens, vanities, islands, full-height backsplash, fireplaces, and other countertop areas.
- Operate the LT-2D3D laser templating system by Laser Products.
- Confirm jobsite details including sink cutouts, cooktop cutouts, faucet holes, overhangs, seams, backsplash, outlets, and wall conditions.
- Review cabinet layouts, drawings, and job information before and during template.
- Communicate clearly with the office, CAD team, sales team, and installers.
- Take clear notes, photos, and measurements for each job.
- Identify jobsite issues before fabrication, including uneven walls, missing cabinets, unsupported overhangs, appliance issues, or missing information.
- Represent the company professionally when meeting customers, builders, homeowners, and contractors.
- Work with the team to help jobs move smoothly from template to layout, fabrication, and installation.
Requirements
- Have countertop templating or field measuring experience.
- Know how to use the LT-2D3D laser templating system by Laser Products.
- Must understand countertop measurements, seams, overhangs, sinks, cooktops, faucet holes, backsplash, and outlet cutouts.
- Able to read cabinet layouts, drawings, and job notes.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with measurements.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, and other stone materials is preferred.
- Experience with countertop fabrication, installation, CAD, Slabsmith, or similar software is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
