Trade Management is hiring experienced Certified 5G/6G Carbon & Stainless Steel Pipe Welders for a long-term industrial prefabrication shop project in the DFW area. We are seeking dependable welders with strong fabrication shop experience who take pride in producing high-quality welds. Candidates must be proficient in MIG welding and able to read and interpret isometric drawings.
Pay: DOE
Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
Fabricate and weld pipe spools in a prefabrication shop environment.
Weld butt weld and socket weld carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems up to 8-inch diameter.
Read and interpret isometric (ISO) drawings, blueprints, plan views, elevation views, weld symbols, and piping specifications.
Perform pipe layouts, take-offs, and determine cut lengths using project drawings.
Measure and identify inside and outside pipe diameters.
Assemble, fit, and weld piping systems to project specifications.
Coordinate with pipefitters and fabrication personnel to complete spool packages.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
Communicate job progress and any fabrication issues to shop supervision.
Current Certified 5G/6G Carbon Pipe Welding Certification is required.
Current Certified 5G/6G Stainless Steel Pipe Welding Certification is required.
Must be proficient in MIG welding.
Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a fabrication shop or industrial environment.
Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
Experience with butt welds and socket welds.
Ability to read and interpret ISO drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and piping specifications.
Experience performing pipe take-offs, layouts, and field measurements.
Knowledge of inside and outside pipe diameters.
Ability to use tape measures and precision measuring tools accurately.
Must have all required welding tools and PPE.
Must successfully pass a drug screen.
