Full Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising team leads and team members. Create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement in achieving the production schedule while improving safety, quality, and efficiency
- Planning and maintaining monthly, weekly, daily production schedule.
- Maintain Safety Program and utilizing problem solving methods.
- Manage team members work schedule, time off, and department allocation
- Develop and implement production scalability and workflow plans
- Implementation of new assembly processes and operations
- Initiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues to meet the current and future needs of the company
- Achieve quality and productivity metrics
- Partner with other Warehouse supervisors, Quality, and Final Integration
- Develop employee versatility plans
- Lead performance management process and make recommendations for compensation changes
- Manage disciplinary actions as required
- Prepare and maintain daily production reports
- Maintain internal housekeeping programs
- Flexibility to work in any area of the warehouse or warehouses, based on production needs
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma required; Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a high-volume production role required with 3+ years of hands-on- leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience implementing production systems; scale up manufacturing, volume production, linear production using continuous improvement/TPS/Lean manufacturing methods
- Ability to understand and resolve 1st level issues on the floor with equipment, process, or manpower
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
- Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)
- Proficient skills in MS Office including Excel, Power Point and Word
- Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight
- Willingness to adapt to change and learn new technical and computer skills
