- Strong problem solver who can diagnose issues quickly, think critically, and execute solutions under pressure.
- Reliable and accountable professional who shows up, follows through, and gets the job done without excuses.
- Ownership-driven mechanic who takes pride in the fleet, treats every repair like it matters, and doesn’t let things fall through the cracks.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Perform fleet maintenance and repairs on hauling trucks and trailers, including scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled mechanical repairs.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns by diagnosing issues, completing roadside/on-site repairs, and coordinating outside repair services when needed to minimize downtime.
- Conduct weekly inspections and remove unsafe equipment from service until repairs are completed and units are safe for operation.
- Coordinate parts procurement and vendor repairs by sourcing pricing, ordering materials, scheduling external service work, and monitoring completion timelines, when needed.
- Manage fleet parts and tire inventory to ensure critical repair materials and spare tires are stocked and available.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records by documenting completed repairs, service history, and repair status updates in the equipment app.
- Communicate repair needs and timelines with drivers and leadership to support operational planning and issue resolution.
