Job Title: Direct Medical Account Representative
Status: Exempt
Department: Sales
Reports to: VP Marketing
Hours: Full-time, extensive regional travel required
Duties and Responsibilities: (subject to change)

Follow existing business plan for market development
- Establish strategy for individual target accounts.

Maintain & develop executive customer relationships and account plans to sell Codonics solutions.
- Utilize demonstrations where appropriate, and execute sales plans to increase account penetration.

Acquire product knowledge to provide superior customer service.

Complete accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts.

Maintain updated CRM system for territory/customer base as required by management.

Manage ongoing lead creation process. Develop a plan to ensure ongoing regular cold calling, lead generation events, and partner driven activity to achieve pipeline growth.

Meet or exceed defined goals and sales objectives.
- Assist with trade shows on a regular basis.

Develop understanding of industry trends and direction from the point of view of assigned channel. Maintain background check and medical requirements to allow admittance into hospitals.

Travel requirements: extensive travel within specified account assignments, plus additional U.S. travel required.
- Submit travel expenses monthly within deadline timeframe.

Additional duties will need to be performed as determined by Management.

Ability to submit an accurate sales forecast to management.

Ability to sell and close a deal.

Individual must be energetic, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment & take direction well. Ability to be resourceful.
- Professional interactive and communication skills a must. Responsible for generating leads and managing lead resources toward potential sale. Must have high accountability for account status throughout sell cycle. Superb with follow through.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint skills & contact management sales tools. Internet research skills. Excellent attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience selling in the OR, Peri-operative, Healthcare C-Suite, or Pharmaceutical sales or Anesthesia markets is preferred.

Experience selling operating room equipment, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals into hospitals preferred.
- Experience with Medical Technology manufacturers preferred.
