Summary/Objective
The Salon Manager/Groomer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grooming salon while providing professional grooming services to pets. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining grooming quality standards, supporting salon staff, managing scheduling and workflow, and creating a safe, clean, and positive environment for pets, clients, and employees.
Essential Functions

- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, trimming, deshedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, and breed-specific cuts.
- Safely handle pets of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and grooming needs.
- Oversee daily salon operations and assist in managing grooming schedules and appointment flow.
- Lead by example and help maintain a positive, team-oriented salon environment.
- Provide excellent customer service while building strong relationships with clients and their pets.
- Communicate clearly with pet parents regarding grooming recommendations, coat condition, matting, behavior, and service expectations.
- Demonstrate appreciation for customers’ use of grooming, daycare, boarding, and retail services and encourage continued business.
- Utilize friendly and informative sales techniques to recommend grooming packages, add-on services, and retail products.
- Address customer concerns professionally and effectively.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies, grooming standards, and safety procedures.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, sanitation, and organization are maintained at all times.
- Monitor salon inventory and grooming supplies and communicate ordering needs when necessary.
- Support training, coaching, and development of grooming staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
