Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Pay and Bonus levels dependent on experience, and certification levels
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Hands-on experience working with Ford/Lincoln vehicles or similar makes is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, ADAS technology, and diagnostics tools is essential.
- Experience repairing powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and performing alignment services is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles enhances your ability to deliver quality service.
- Prior work involving automotive service for both gasoline and diesel engines demonstrates versatility and technical proficiency. Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year
